I’m a drummer, percussionist, recording engineer, producer, vst programmer and the founder of the musical collective, The Children of Mu. I started playing drums when I was 10 years old, I’ve played drums in the bands Lincoln, Kukim, The Boom and Canyon, as well as professionally with working bands, Florida Studio Theatre and the internationally recognized entertainment organization “Burn the Floor”. I have traveled to Brazil where I studied Brazilian percussion as well as played congas and other percussion in the Afro-Caribbean drum ensemble Iyabakoso.
I record solo albums under the names, Justin Wierbonski, Justin Robert & Shulaka. I attended the recording engineering program at Miami Dade College in the late 90s, worked in infinity recording studio in Clearwater FL, and since 2005 have run my own home studio “The Anthill”
I’m available for hire for audio production, engineering, mastering as well as session drumming or live gigs.
If you like what I do, feel free to drop me a line.

Hoi, i bought your plugins, but because i own a CZ-300 i would like to know more about programming
it.
Do you help me out?
Any advice, website, book.
I like that berlin style, but i wish i would understand more about programming, my imagination
is oke,thats not the point.
Hope to hear from you and take care.
Ton Wijnen.
Hi Ton,
The key to the CZs are understanding the envelopes, everything is controlled by them. Check out the CZ manual and just go through it with your cz, and it’ll start to make sense. The operate somewhat differently than other’s synths, but once you get it, it’s not that hard to do.
Take care,
Justin
Hoi, i lost your vst,s, can you mail them again to me ?
Thanks Ton Wijnen.
Hello, I just found your original order and re-sent you the files. Thank you for your support!
Justin
Hi Justin,
I was wondering, does your CZ vst have ring modulation as part of the sound architecture?
Thanks,
Dean
no ring modulation exactly, but you can get ring mod type fx by setting the noise type. I actually had to go open it up because sadly I didn’t remember, haha. I really wish I could get back to programming and release an update for all of you, but work has been a swamp for over a year now.
Hey,
If you’d ever be willing to travel to Oakland, CA. There is a pretty good experimental warehouse scene here. Some really awesome stuff. I might be able to help you line up a show. Email me.
Downloaded “1986″, as a dedicated worshipper of PDM synthesis.
It’s excellent, and it put me very much in mind of this piece of my own, featuring a nicely demented CZ3000…..doing the sort of stuff only a CZ can do.
That poor instrument was attacked by drunks at a party, flung at a wall, pulled off it’s stand to the floor by a dog, had a bottle of fizzy drink knocked into it (which caused it to shut down for 3 days, I stayed the hell away from it in case the case was live, and 3 days later, that familiar click from the power relay let me know it had drunk the pop and was ready to rock again). It ended up with no keys, no screen, held together entirely by gaffer tape, and STILL I lugged it to gigs……at least 3 engineers asked rude questions about it, including one who wondered if it was there just so I could do a “Keith Emerson” and smash it up……all of them made a point of coming to me after my set, apologizing, and asking where they could get one

The other tunes there don’t have too much in the way of CZ…couple of nice parts, a lead and a nice analoguey bass on “Eyes” is about all.
I’ve just downloaded the free version of Mothman, and if it actually sounds like a CZ, I’ll be back for the full version the next time I have some spare cash.
Again, I must say 1986 is just lovely work, and shows you have the same deep understanding and love for CZs as I do.
The instrument’s only downfall was its name, the name “Casio” being inextricably linked to tiny home keyboards in the public mind. Of course, even some of those were pretty epic….I had a CTxxx that had the best grand piano and strings you could get on the cheap side of an Emulator
Thanks for making an old CZ junkie awfully happy.
